ADMIRAL ADETOKUNBO L. AKINTOLA (RTD)- Director Surveillance
Retired Navy Admiral Akintola, married with children, is the Jagun Balogun of Ibadan land, a descendant of the Balogun Ibikunle Royal Family in Ibadan. He graduated from the University of Lagos with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1982. This was followed later on with Masters in Defence Studies from the National Defence University, Islamabad, Pakistan and further still, a Master in Engineering Management from the University of Port-Harcourt.
He worked briefly with National Electric Power Authority (NEPA) before joining the Nigerian Navy and was granted the presidential commission as a Sub- Lieutenant in 1984. He rose to the rank of Rear Admiral. His several Teaching Staff and Command Appointments Include
Director of Weapon/electrical Engineering at the Naval Headquarters, Abuja; Directing Staff, Staff Officer Grade 1 (Coordination); Chief Instructor and Director at the prestigious Armed Forces Command and Staff College on different occasions ; Commander Fleet Support Group, Central and Western Commands on different occasions; Admiral Superintendent, Naval Shipyard Port-Harcourt and Naval Dockyard Victoria Island on different occasions. He was a Directing Staff and also the Director Academic Research and Analytical Studies at the National Defence College, Abuja.

- Historic visit to the U.K after comprehensive repair/ refit of the ships as the Weapon/ Electrical officer of NNS ARADU.
- Forces, Meritorion, Distinguished and Grand Services Stars on different occasions

His contribution would be in the areas of surveillance, operational standards compliance & improvements, facilities and equipment reliability and strategic route acquisitions.
